What is direct primary care?

Health care working for you.

The modern health care system has become a sickness industry.  As regulations have grown, the system has been strained and taken over by insurance companies and health systems. Those systems are set up to generate revenue. The more visits and procedures, the more revenue is generated. These groups now employ the majority of doctors in the United States. They then require the doctor to see 25-40 patients a day and be responsible for 2000-3000 lives to "earn" their salary. The increased cost is then passed on to you and your employer. The end result is more expensive and lower quality care.

In Direct Primary care, your doctor works directly for you. You pay a reasonable monthly fee to be a member of the clinic community. This automatically reduces the middlemen and the extra clinic resources needed to process the insurance. The cost savings are passed on to you by keeping the fee affordable.

The lower cost and predictability of monthly membership allows the doctor to limit the number of members to 400-600. With this size group, it is truly a community. The doctor can have same-day and next-day appointments available. All visits can be 30-90 minutes if needed. You can have direct access to your doctor through phone, text, or email, even outside of clinic hours. Most importantly, there is adequate time to build a personal relationship with your doctor. Instead of another pill for every complaint, there is time to focus on preventative and holistic care.
